Take that Minnesota!

If you are from the great state of Wisconsin, the Vikings 31-28 loss to the Saints couldn't have felt any better. Especially because of the familiar way they lost, a Brett Favre interception. Brings back memories doesn't it? Almost identical to 2007 with the Packers, Brett drops back to pass and then makes a bonehead throw that gets picked off. Only this time I wasn't throwing things across the room and cursing at the television. I couldn't have had a bigger smile on my face because he did it to our archrival.
After the whole season being in such close proximity to Minnesota, I had to hear about how great Brett Favre is and how the Vikings will "easily" win the Super Bowl. I just kept smiling and telling them to wait, because Favre WILL throw a game losing interception, and it couldn't have happened at a better time. The NFC Championship with the game on the line, he could have tucked and ran it into field goal range, but no, he wanted to make a play that would make him look like a king, and he failed. And I loved it. After retiring and unretiring, then doing the same thing again, just so he could go to the Vikings, I couldn't care less about the man I adored for 16 years of my life. I was so happy he failed. It couldn't have ended more perfect for most Packer fans, and we will have the last laugh with Aaron Rodgers under center for the next 10 years at least. He will be a distant memory, whose last pass for each of his respective teams will be what he is known for, an interception.
GO PACK GO!

Intro

My name is Alex Welter. I am 2nd semester student at Western. I spent the last 3 years in Madison, WI attending MATC, where I didn't accomplish a lot. I am big fan of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, and UW football/basketball. In the summer I fish a good number of Bass Fishing tournaments. During the fall, I am out either duck hunting or bowhunting. In this blog I will most likely write about whatever comes to mind on that certain day. Thanks for reading.
